Novel Aquatech was founded simultaneously in Sydney, Australia and Pune, India in 2004 to pursue and supply technology enabled services and products in the environmental science and technology space. However, over the years the activities have been structured under four divisions.
The first project of this division is a website called "indiantucker". Indiantucker.com.au is a food lovers' paradise. Australia has thousands of Indian restaurants. Australians love Indian food and Indian cuisine and eating out in an Indian restaurant has lately become global phenomena. Most Indian restaurants however fall in the category of small business and most do not have the technical expertise to take advantage of web based commerce. Indiantucker is an attempt to introduce the Indian restaurant owners to e-commerce and take advantage of this technology by bringing all the Indian restaurants in one place. The website also brings Indian food recipe and ingredients needed to prepare Indian food in one place.
ENGINEERING
The Engineering division's primary focus is to bring in sustainable clean technologies in developing economies like India. We are working with consultants in India and Australia to introduce various options of water reuse, water harvesting and groundwater purification technologies. Wastewater treatment, both domestic and industrial, is another area where we do consulting and introduce new technologies.
The Engineering division also runs a small software engineering practice in Australia leveraging the pool of highly skilled and experienced engineers available to Novel Aquatech. We have expertise in SAP,.NET and JAVA technologies.
Our Indian office at Pune has strong expertise in software aided engineering design, and has completed several projects in India and South East Asia mainly in the energy industry. We have strong expertise in compressor packaging, gas purification and conditioning, pressure swing adsorption technology, engineering design and code calculations.
E-LEARNING
Over the past few years Learning and Development industry has become heavily dependant on IT enabled services. Most large companies now use some form of electronic learning. Most institutions of higher learning use e-learning as a standard tool for pedagogy.
Novel Aquatech is the first company to introduce on-line live tutoring service in Australia in 2006 for school students. The program developed by Growing Stars in Freemont, California, US (www.growingstars.com) has been running very successfully in the US for the past three years. We adopted the product to the Australian school curriculum and our introductory experience in NSW and QLD has been very satisfactory. We plan to expand the services in all states and territory in Australia.
RECRUITMENT SERVICES
Due to a sustained growth in the Australian economy over the past decade it has progressively become difficult for industry to find people with required qualifications and adequate skill and experience. At the same time the government policy of allowing immigration into the country has created a large pool of new migrants with varied skill set. The recruitment services division strives to mentor these new migrants and assess and develop their skills, arrange training and then match their skills with the requirement of the industry. The recruitment division works closely with community groups, training agencies government departments and industry bodies.
